Steve and Sue Pasco, Subway Business Development Agents with 15 franchise stores, have opened the first drive-thru Subway in the south of England in Swindon, Wiltshire.
Conveniently located underneath a Travelodge hotel and part of a new development, the outlet will offer drivers and hotel residents easy access to its sandwiches, salads and wraps, as well as providing seating for 32 customers.
The Pasco’s currently have Subway stores in Bristol and surrounding areas, and as Business Development Agents for Bristol and West region, Subway says the duo have specific experience in opening and developing Subway franchises and offering support and assistance to franchisees.
Delighted to be opening their first drive-thru, Sue said: “The store is in a great location, situated on a busy main road and close to a retail park, perfect for hungry shoppers and passers-by to stop in for a quick and convenient meal or snack. Being right next-door to a Travelodge also opens up another customer base, and with our menu ranging from breakfast to dinner, hotel guests can enjoy a huge choice and variety without compromising on taste and value.”
Colin Hughes, country director for Subway UK and Ireland, commented: “Subway is always looking for great locations to open new stores. Drive-thru sites open up new possibilities for our guests, in that they don’t even need to leave the comfort of their own car to enjoy our wide product range.
“Guests will also be able to take advantage of our exciting new products and deals, giving our guests amazing value and more choice at all times of the day.”
The new Swindon store marks Subway’s sixth drive-thru outlet to be open in the UK and Ireland, adding to the existing sites in Belfast, Guisborough, Rochdale, Salford and Wakefield.
