Premier Education, a leading provider of sport and physical activity to primary schools across the UK, has announced its acquisition of Sweaty Mama Ltd.
The Sweaty Mama franchise was established in 2016 to provide group exercise classes for mums and their babies. It currently runs classes at 285 locations across the UK through a network of over 100 franchisees.
In line with Premier Education’s overall objective to ‘Educate and activate the World’, having Sweaty Mama as a part of its group means it can now not only help to get new mums active but offer another attractive franchise proposition for those looking for a new career.
David Batch, chief executive of Premier Education, comments: “As an experienced franchisor with full BFA membership, we continue our growth without compromising our ethos of inspiring activity and creating futures. Having Sweaty Mama as part of our group franchise offering is a fantastic addition and fits perfectly with our strategic objectives.
“We love the values that Sweaty Mama and its franchisees stand for and will further support the brand as it grows, offering mums or anyone looking for a career change the perfect opportunity to develop a flexible and rewarding career on their own terms.”
Premier Education was founded in 1999 and has partnered with over 2,500 schools across the UK. The group said it delivers stimulating, engaging classes and wellbeing sessions through PE lessons, wrap-around care or holiday camps, with the aim of improving children’s health and wellbeing.
Premier Education adds that it is a partner of national governing bodies including British Gymnastics, England Hockey and Table Tennis England.
