Neighborly, one of the world’s largest companies of home service brands has announced the acquisition of the UK franchise, Dream Doors.
The first acquisition this year for Neighborly now brings its total number of service brands to 22 with nearly 3,700 franchisees and over 850 colleagues across nine countries.
The Dream Doors deal includes 91 locally-owned and operated franchise showrooms located across the UK, which specialise in fully-fitted kitchen makeovers, replacement doors and countertops and the installation of new appliances.

Awards pedigree
Dream Doors, based in Portsmouth, Hampshire, was founded on providing kitchen makeovers and expanded to offer custom wardrobes. As a result of its proven business model and innovations, the company has received numerous franchise accolades and awards for excellent service and satisfaction over the years.
The awards include winning the Best Franchisee Marketing Support title three times in the Franchise Marketing Awards organised by the Venture Marketing Group and winning the Best Kitchen Supplier and Best Money Saving Product in the inaugural Express Home and Living Awards 2017 organised by the Daily Express newspaper.
Troy Tappenden, Dream Doors founder and chairman who established the business in 1999, will step down and depart from the company. Philip Carr, Dream Doors managing director, who has been instrumental in implementing the brand’s long-term expansion strategy since 2017 will continue to oversee the network.
