Metro Rod, the drainage services company, has held its first conference and awards ceremony at the Celtic Manor Resort in Wales, under the ownership of Franchise Brands plc.
Peter Molloy, Metro Rod’s managing director, unveiled some new plans for the company’s future and key changes in the way the business will be run moving forward.
Robin Auld, the company’s marketing director and Ella Pugh, head of marketing, presented some updated branding for the company including two new van liveries, which were on display for the audience to vote for their favourite design.
Running alongside the conference, industry suppliers exhibited their wares to Metro Rod franchisees, giving them the opportunity to find out about the latest developments in the industry.
Franchisee of the Year
Franchisee Roy Dean, Metro Rod Deeside, who joined the network five years ago, was awarded the title of Franchisee of the Year 2017.
Molloy commented: “Roy has always operated with the utmost professionalism and has achieved extremely strong results in all areas of his business. He and his team of over 10 employees are very worthy winners of this prestigious award, always putting the customer first in everything they do, so I’m thrilled to be able to recognise his achievements in this way.”
The event also raised £1,500 for the charity, WaterAid, which will go towards helping to provide clean water, toilets and good hygiene to the millions of people around the world in need of these basic but essential facilities.
