Caremark Redcar and Cleveland have been praised by the Secretary of State for Health, Jeremy Hunt, for its ‘exceptional quality of care’, following its achievement of an outstanding rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The CQC is the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England and Caremark says that only one per cent of care providers in the UK meet such a high standard.
Charles Folkes, the franchisee, said he was honoured by Mr Hunt’s comments and to receive correspondence congratulating the team was a testament to their commitment, compassion and professionalism.
Folkes added: “It’s gratifying to know that the systems and processes we put in place within our business, as well as the genuine care and compassion shown by all, is being recognised.
“Receiving a personal letter from Jeremy Hunt was the icing on the cake – we’re all incredibly proud and pleased with the result. We couldn’t have achieved this rating without the support of our amazing staff and clients and I would like to thank them for making us the company we are.”
Great appreciation
In his letter, Mr Hunt went on to recognise ‘the immense amount of day to day hard work’ by the team, which he said could not be underestimated and was greatly appreciated, not just by himself, but by all those who would be benefitting as a result.
