Fastsigns, the signs and graphics franchise has awarded the title of Franchisee of the Year to Mark Phelps, its franchisee for Kingston, Surrey. Phelps was also awarded one of the company’s Business Mentors for the Year.
Phelps’ achievement follows his investment of over £250,000 in new equipment and expanding his Fastsigns centre, which enabled him to deliver significant growth within his business.
The awards were presented at the company’s annual convention in Kettering, Northamptonshire, where Catherine Monson, global chief executive of Fastsigns based in the U.S., delivered the keynote speech, “Pathways to More”.
Monson spoke about the future plans for the business and how franchisees, by thoroughly exploring all the tools available to them, can translate these into business success within their own franchise.

Fastsigns Kingston also won Comprehensive Customer Solutions of the Year award for its ‘Summer Garden’. The award recognises the most impressive signage, graphic and visual communications project for a customer.
Other Fastsigns award winners were:

- Project of the Year, Manchester.
Two further business mentor awards were presented to:
- Simon Slee, Hammersmith.
- David and Carolyn Riddell, Gloucester.
The convention also included a network supplier showcase where over 28 businesses showcased their latest products and services to franchisees.
