Chopstix’s new London Canary Wharf restaurant is set to be a flagship site for the Asian quick service restaurant chain, as the company sees the opening as a statement of intent for growing its footprint in the capital, having secured such a high-profile location.
Supporting the site launch, the new Canary Wharf team distributed 1,000 portions of Chopstix’s crispy vegetable spring rolls and 100 free medium boxes with two toppings to the first diners through the door.
‘Footprint in the capital’
Jon Lake, managing director of Chopstix, commented: “We have been looking to expand our footprint in the capital for some time and a site in Canary Wharf topped the list, so we’re thrilled we’re finally in a position to open our doors.
“We have invested significant energy in market mapping research and this new location is ideally suited for Chopstix so we’re confident this restaurant will be highly successful. We’re looking forward to serving the residents and workers of Canary Wharf.”
Chopstix said the new outlet catering to locals, Underground travellers and workers returning to the office has already established itself as one of the top five performing stores in its estate.
