Baby Sensory has held a series of sensory play experiences in collaboration with Time Out’s ‘Eye-Openers’, taking parents and their babies to new heights as they boarded a capsule on the London Eye.
The special interactive sensory sessions involved babies from birth to 13-months of age and included activities such as baby massage, stories, baby yoga, musical play and gentle exercise.
Parents enjoyed the magnificent views of the City of London while benefitting from a range of creative playtime ideas for their babies.
Renee Micklefield, Baby Sensory’s regional franchisor spoke about the sessions: “It’s been an amazing experience for adults and babies alike, a chance to explore the senses with your baby while aboard one of London’s most iconic landmarks.”
Anna Simmons, the Baby Sensory franchisee for the Borough of Southwark who lead the sessions with support from the Clapham franchise team, said: “This has been such a magical experience for our babies and parents.”
Baby Sensory explained that each capsule on the London Eye can accommodate up to 10 babies per session and the £25 fee for a parent and child, included the cost of the sensory class and a 30-minute rotation on-board the London Eye.
Parents who enjoyed the experience included Katie Moss and her baby Ameila, aged 10-months. Moss commented: “It was a really exceptional experience in the heart of London.”
Lauren Kaye, with her baby Oscar aged five-months, commented: “It was so fabulous, Oscar loved it, we could do something a bit different and it provided a really nice bonding experience too.”
Baby Sensory’s activity-based class experiences provide a range of parent and child sensory activities. The sessions are designed to enhance early years learning and development through exploratory sensory play, while allowing parents to spend quality time with their baby in a safe, established, nurturing environment.
