SureCare, the provider of personal care in the home, has launched a low-cost micro-franchise, SureCare Local to offer a range of home services from DIY jobs and gardening to cleaning and babysitting.
SureCare Local franchises are from only £7,000 for a territory with a population of 100,000.
Unlike SureCare’s conventional services, which are regulated by the Care Quality Commission, the micro-franchise services avoid having to be regulated.
The company hopes that its new franchise will appeal to people who are already working in the care or healthcare profession, young people in their 20s, the retired and semi-retired, those made redundant, and those who have left the armed services.
The new micro format mirrors that of supermarkets which are establishing new local-branded smaller stores.
Gary Farrer, SureCare’s managing director, said: “The launch of our micro-franchise is genuinely ground-breaking. The concept allows us to provide our clients with a more localised service while, at the same time, creating opportunities for more people to become their own boss.
“The care section is going through enormous change and companies such as ours have to respond to this challenge by looking to continually innovate and develop new services and ways to meet the needs of our communities.”
Founded in 1994, SureCare has 27 franchises.
