Duncan Bannatyne, the star of the entrepreneurial TV show, Dragons’ Den, has sold his stake in Razzamataz Theatre Schools the franchised provider of children’s singing, drama and dance lessons, achieving a 40 per cent return on his investment.
His stake has been bought by the franchise’s founder, Denise Gosney, who sold it to him on a Dragons’ Den programme in 2007.
Gosney, who founded the business in 2000, said: “It would never have grown to the level it has without his support and advice. My decision to apply to appear on the show was daunting, but it was the best thing I have done.”
Bannatyne commented: “Razzamataz has a synergy with my own health clubs and we formed a great partnership. I am convinced it will continue to flourish.”
