Snap Fitness reports its fitness franchise has had an outstanding year breaking records across a number of key performance areas and reaching the milestone of 100 gyms across the UK & Ireland.
The global brand, which opened its first UK location in 2012, said it had opened 11 new clubs in the UK & Ireland and 16 within the EMEA region in 2024.
Key achievements during the year
- Presale membership record broken three times during 2024, attracting 44 per cent more members than in the previous year.
- Membership base across the UK & Ireland grew by an impressive 21 per cent year-on-year.
- Highest number of franchise areas sold through a combination of new franchisees and existing franchisees scaling their investments.
- Increased lending for new franchisees by its banking partners – showing confidence in the brand’s performance.
Kevin Yates, chief executive of Lift Brands EMEA (the owner’s of Snap Fitness), said he was so proud of what everyone had achieved in 2024: “These numbers are testament to the incredible people we have across the business and shows a glimpse at what Snap Fitness is capable of. Whether it’s our franchisees, club teams or the support office, everyone believes in what we’re trying to achieve and the direction we’re heading in.
“As well as the growth that we’ve shown with new locations, it’s another year where there’s been no closures across the UK & Ireland. This shows that in a competitive landscape, our gyms continue to be a stand-out choice among consumers and that our teams are doing an exceptional job on the ground.
“With some big developments to our in-gym experience and a busy opening pipeline for 2025, it’s going to be an incredible year – we’re just getting started.”
