Liverpool Football Club (LFC) has announced a multi-year partnership with the Dunkin’ Brands group, the parent company of Baskin-Robbins and Dunkin’ Donuts.
Under the agreement Baskin-Robbins will become the official provider of ice cream to the club and Dunkin’ Donuts the official bakery partner and supplier of coffee and tea.
Billy Hogan, Liverpool’s chief commercial officer said: “We are delighted to be joining forces with Dunkin’ Brands, one of the world’s most iconic names and we welcome both to the LFC family.”
Dunkin’ Brands has also announced that the group is planning to open between 685 – 800 new stores worldwide in 2014. The company says that this expansion will provide franchisees with even greater brand recognition both locally and nationally and help to bring in even more business. “We believe a major contributor to our strong year-on-year growth is the disciplined approach we consistently take to improving franchisee economics,” says Nigel Travis, chairman and chief executive officer of Dunkin’ Brands.
Baskin-Robbins currently has 100 stores in the UK. The franchise has opportunities for investors with a minimum of £300,000 liquid capital to develop multi-store portfolios. A typical area containing five stores has the potential to turnover £1m in the first full year of trading.
