Dum Dum Donutterie caused a media frenzy when launched in 2013 and has quickly become the fastest-growing doughnut brand in the UK.
Since 1997 our founder Paul Hurley, an artisan doughnut chef, had the vision to create “The Best Doughnut in the World”. He believed that this had to be at the heart of the brand. The company now has an entire team of Dum Dum Donuttiers who have a real passion for good honest food.
Following the success of the East London outlets of Dum Dum, we became the only doughnut brand in Harrods. We have also launched our first international outlet in Dubai with another nine UAE stores planned in the next five years.
It is our intention to expand the business and achieve national coverage across the UK through franchising. We believe that high quality franchisees will better serve our purpose, and that through franchising we will attract highly motivated and capable individuals, who will have a real appetite and passion to make a success of their business.
As a Dum Dum franchisee you will be an integral part of a dynamic, rapidly expanding organisation with a vision to be the best in its field in the UK.
You will be a valued member of the Dum Dum family, sharing a mutual desire to build an extremely successful business.
By joining the company a franchisee will benefit from over 18-years of the management’s know-how in the doughnut market. They will get a turnkey business operation, comprehensive support, website presence to drive customers to their Donutterie and the opportunity to share knowledge and experience of fellow franchisees as the network develops.
Dum Dum can assist you to find suitable premises and can introduce you to banks and finance providers to help fund the purchase of the franchise.
Franchisees will receive four stages of training.
- Initial theory training at its head office.
- Hands-on operational training at its Donutterie in Shoreditch.
- Pre and post-opening support at the franchisee’s store.
- Artisan barista induction and accreditation.
Franchisees get the best possible start with a launch programme that includes product sampling, advertising in the local press, leaflet distribution at travel hubs and social media coverage.
We are looking for franchisees who are passionate about food, have determination and ambition to succeed, are able to step outside their comfort zone and able to work with a pre-determined system.
An existing business wishing to diversity can add a Dum Dum to its portfolio if its company is suited to the concept.
The gross profit of an average store is £198,000, resulting in an operating profit of £51,000.
