WorkBuzz has announced the finalists of the 2020/21 Best Franchise Awards, sponsored by Lloyds Bank and supported by Franchise World magazine. What makes these awards unique is they are based on feedback from thousands of franchisees – meaning they highlight the best franchises out there.
To be considered, franchisors must have taken part in the Franchise Satisfaction Benchmark programme. Franchisees are asked to complete a confidential online survey, rating their franchisor on qualities such as initial training, ongoing support, their relationship with the franchisor and whether they would recommend the franchise to a prospective franchisee. The top-performing franchisors are then put forward as finalists in the Best Franchise Awards.
There are three main award categories, based on franchise network turnover and the 2020/21 finalists are:

Best New Entrant Award
Oltco, The Athena Network and We Love Pets have also been shortlisted for the Best New Entry Award, which is open to franchisors that participated for the first time and received outstanding feedback from their franchisees.

Normally, the winners would be announced at the Best Franchise Conference – a physical event packed with best practice seminars. This year, due to the pandemic, the winners will be announced at a virtual awards ceremony on Wednesday, 10th February.
About the Franchise Satisfaction Benchmark (FSB)
- The FSB is co-ordinated by WorkBuzz. The benchmark works by inviting existing franchisees to participate in a confidential online survey which asks them 32 questions about their franchise ownership experience. Using a consistent methodology, the franchise is assigned an overall FSB score. The highest performing franchisors are then recognised in the Best Franchise Awards, sponsored by Lloyds Bank.
